mobile tire press

Mounting and demounting solid tires can be time consuming, and even dangerous. Most of our material handling customers don’t have the equipment or time to deal with this process. Because of their size, cost of acquisition and the regular maintenance this type of equipment requires, companies often decide to use external service providers to mount or press the tires on their forklifts.

At Solideal On-Site Service, we press and change tires everyday. We deliver the best-in-class tire installation service, right to your door. Tell us when and where, and we will be on site, on time, ready to keep you rolling.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use Solideal On-Site Service if I already have my tires?

Yes, if you order your tires with SOS, we’ll have them with us when we arrive at your site. If you already have the tires, we will mount it on your equipment on-site.

How long does it take to press/assemble my tires and fit them on the machine?

It all depends on the number of tires you must change, the locking system used (quick heel or standard), the machine and the condition of these elements. Generally, the maximum time a technician will take for a tire is 25 minutes (all types of products considered).

Can all types of tires be pressed?

Each type of tire has its own way of being mounted or dismounted from the rim. Some tires, like car tires, can be changed using special tools, but they don’t need to be “pressed”. Solid tires, on the other hand, need to be pressed with a certain amount of “force” to be mounted correctly. With our service trucks, we can fit and mount resilient, press-on and industrial tires. We can also inflate the air tires to their correct pressure.

What is the difference between quick heel technology and a standard locking system?

Quick heel technology is designed for resilient tires. We have a video that shows the differences and benefits of quick heel technology. Find out more on Camso website.
