tire filling

Polyurethane tire filling is the process where a urethane polymer liquid is pumped into an industrial tire to replace all the air. This makes the tire puncture-proof, maintaining the required pressure for the rest of its life. For the operator, it results in one of the smoothest ride.

Material handling and construction customers are all dependant on downtime. A forklift breakdown has a direct impact on our profitability. One of the most common reasons for stalled machines is the tires. Nails, screws and scraps of metal can all cause tire punctures.

Polyurethane filled tires help maximize your uptime and vehicle operating efficiency. Even in the most demanding environments, filled tires will never go flat – thus maximizing wear, tire performance and overall lifespan in a wide range of applications.

Solideal On-Site Service offers the best solution, no matter what specific challenges your industry brings.

Tire filling process

STEP 1

A technician inspects the tire to look for signs of cracks or deformation in the tread. Then he can evaluate if the tire is a good candidate for tire filling.

STEP 2

The tire and wheel are disassembled and cleaned. Our expert ensures that you have the best base for the filling stage.

STEP 3

Two liquids are pumped into the tire through the valve stem. The mixture hardens to form a foam and fills the tire, replacing all of the air.

STEP 4

The tire is placed horizontally and left to rest in a temperature-controlled environment. The rest period lasts between 24 and 48 hours.

Virgin filling is 100% pure polyol and isocyanate. Recycled filling enables us to reuse polyurethane that is still in good condition. To do this, we recover the polyurethane, grind it up and take out the small pieces for inclusion in our mixture. We reuse the raw material, reducing costs while ensuring the same quality and durability for your tires. Our recycling option contains 60% rubber crumbs and 40% virgin material.
